Terence J. Watterson

In Palm Beach County Terry Watterson is known as the man who can and will "fight City Hall." Powerful on either side of a litigation equation, Watterson's career has included such disparate representations as defending Palm Beach County against multi-million dollar damage claims of inverse condemnation, and suing the Palm Beach County School Board to prevent its construction of the new Glades Central High School next door to a maximum security prison.

A native of New England and a diehard Red Sox fan, Watterson is a natural defender of the underdog. He has been recognized and honored by the Florida Bar President and the Florida Supreme Court and the Urban League of Palm Beach County for his pro bono advocacy on behalf of the underprivileged.

Watterson, father of three, has a long history of community service which includes coaching youth athletics, Boy Scouts of America, and the YMCA Indian Guide and Indian Princess programs. He is past president of the Friends of Florida State Parks and chairman emeritus of Lighthouse for the Blind of the Palm Beaches. Following the example and guidance of Terry Watterson, the firm was awarded in 2000 the Pro Bono Firm Award by the Palm Beach County Legal Aid Society for its excellence in community service.

Terry Watterson is a distance runner and veteran of 5 marathons.
